AUGUST UPDATED POST:Joe Lesley, You will be greatly missed in this town...(Sat afternoon, 8/12/17) This restaurant is part of the nostalgic history of Easley, SC. Joe is so friendly, as is his daughter Julie, and all of the others who work here. The food is yummy.

Best hot dogs I have found in the area, cheese burgers are good to.

Stopped by for ice cream on my way home from basketball. A little pricey - $4 for a couple scoops of ice cream. But a big part of it is supporting one of the best local businesses with real small-town appeal and home-grown charm.

Stopped here because they are one of our yearbook sponsors (THANKS!) and I had never been in since we moved here. Had a delicious steak burger and fries that were actually fried golden brown (I hate whimpy fries😁) - yummy. Friendly and engaging staff. Be sure to stop in at this family owned business if you are in downtown Easley. I'll have to come back for ice cream next time.

Joe's offers standard diner food -- sandwiches, dinners, a kid's menu -- as well as their famous hot dogs and the eponymous ice cream. Where Joe's really shines is the friendly atmosphere that cements Joe's as a Main Street cultural landmark and an exemplar of Southern homestyle hospitality.

Hadn't been there in about 25years. Hot dogs and fries were still real good, just like they were years ago. Nice friendly un pretentious place

Joe's is a local staple. You get fairly inexpensive diner style meals that really fill you up. Mixed with a welcoming atmosphere and amazing sweet tea. The ice cream isn't anything special, nothing fancy made with Tibetan goat tears or something, but it's good and unlike other spots in town it's a good price. Personally I can't leave without getting a peanut butter milkshake.

Best ICE CREAM EVER!!! There is not one flavor they don't have. Get a cone or a cup I guarantee it's the most delicious ice cream you've ever had. The banana splits are to die for. The bigger the better and it doesn't get any better than Joe's!!! Will definitely recommend my friends and family to Joe's Ice Cream Shop!

I've been eating here all my life and I've never had anything to complain about! Great staff, great food, great ice cream! I love it!!!

After being told how wonderful Joe's is, I decided to stop in for lunch to see for myself. I ordered 2 chili dogs and a soft drink and was amazed at the swiftness in which my meal was served. After biting into one of the 'dogs I discovered why it was served so quickly...THERE WERE NO HOT DOGS IN THE BUNS. The server quickly righted the situation, but I was surprised at his lack of an apology; plus, being a Northerner, their 'chili' was very bland. I won't be going back.

My parents started taking me to Joe's when I was 2 years old. 28 years later it is still one of my go to places to eat. The food is great. The prices are phenomena. But the staff is awesome. The staff is what makes it such a great place. They don't want you to feel like a customer. They want you to feel like family. Like you just walked into a big family reunion, and everyone was wondering when you were going to show up.
